my concept

Portraits im Aufrag für Sie oder für Sie als Geschenksidee.

The term "Script-Portrait" describes, quite literally, a painting technique I have developed. Instead of painting or shading the portrait, I write texts that vary in transparency, opacity, and color, thereby giving the portrait structure, depth, and dimension. I often draw inspiration from figures in science, politics, and art. Consequently, the necessary texts consist of quotes from these personalities, while lyrics of a song serve as the basis for the Script-Portraits of musicians. These texts act as a stylistic device, and it is not my intention for them to be fully legible within the portrait. They appear as fragments of words, phrases, and sentences, reminiscent of thoughts interwoven into the portrait.

To make the incorporated texts readable, I add them in cursive handwriting, distinctly visible on the artwork. Additionally, the name of the personality and their birth and, if applicable, death dates are displayed. This lends the work a documentary character, which is further accentuated by a red seal. This seal has an additional significance regarding the uniqueness of the artwork.

Essentially, an artwork is unique in itself, but the seal guarantees that no other work of the same personality in the same perspective, size, and color is in circulation. This is meant to emphasize the uniqueness of the piece.
